Got an idea to inspire wellbeing in your community? £250 awards available to get it moving!
Saturday 10th October is World Mental Health Day and we are celebrating by launching our WE CAN Wellbeing Awards. We want to inspire people living in the South Norfolk CCG area to get together with their friends and neighbours and do something to promote wellbeing where they live.
We will match 25 hours of voluntary time with £250 in money to get small projects or activities off the ground. We are particularly interested in projects that promote the
“5 Ways to Wellbeing”:
- Connect people and communities
- Encourage people to be active
- Inspire people to take notice of the world
- Help people to learn new skills and knowledge
- Create opportunities for people to give to others
Successfully awarded projects will be showcased at our Winter Wellbeing Festival at Connaught Hall, Attleborough on Saturday 30th January 2016. Applications can be made at any time between 10th October 2015 and 4th January 2016.
Kevin James, Chair of Norfolk and Suffolk Foundation Trust’s Service User and Carers Forum and member of the ABCD Project Board, says:
“We are looking for people to engage with their communities and do something positive – a small amount of time and money can go a long, long way. Supporting people’s wellbeing in the community is vital to recovery and the wider acceptance of mental health conditions, so we are keen to find out the great ideas that South Norfolk will come up with!”
